The pilgrimage tour to Valaam for 2 days is intended for those tourists who plan to focus primarily on attending divine services in the monastery (even in this case, attending divine services is carried out voluntarily). Most dates of arrivals are confined to any church holidays. However, in addition to worship, the guests of Valaam have enough time to visit the main attractions of the island. Pilgrims live in monastery hotels, eat in the refectory according to the monastery charter. For 2-4 days spent on the island, guests are offered an extended excursion program, which includes visits to remote monasteries – the All Saints (the oldest on Valaam, open only to male pilgrims) and Smolensky.

When visiting the existing temples and the territory of the inner square of the monastery, men should be without hats, women should have skirts and a headdress. Visiting the monastery in sportswear and open clothing is not permitted. When traveling, it is advisable to have comfortable shoes, appropriate clothing, a passport, a compulsory health insurance policy (MHI), and in the presence of chronic diseases it is imperative to bring along a set of medicines, including funds for motion sickness. Minor changes may be made to the travel program.
It is possible to cancel the trip on the eve due to a storm. The tour operator’s Directorate Polar Aurora reserves the right to unilaterally cancel a trip to Valaam due to weather conditions (storm, etc.), as there is a threat to the safety of tourists.
Substitution of travel and accommodation for non-residents are not provided. The trip is unilaterally canceled if the group is shorted.
