Bus tour to Solovki from St. Petersburg

22:45 – Departure (Ulitsa Dybenko Metro Station) on the route St. Petersburg – Kem – port Rabocheostrovsk (night crossing 860 km). There are three technical / sanitary stops for 30 minutes each. 11:00 – Arrival of the bus in the village. Rabocheostrovsk on the White Sea. Late breakfast in the cafe. Landing on the ship.

12:30 – Crossing the White Sea (2.5 hours) to the Solovetsky Islands. During the sea passage from the side of the vessel, tourists can see the inhabitants of the White Sea: belugas – northern dolphins, sea hares and seals.

14:45 – Arrival on the Big Solovetsky island. Meeting at the Tamarin pier. Transfer to the Solo Nord Hotel (in the center of the village, opposite the monastery), accommodation in rooms with private facilities.

15:30 – Sightseeing tour of the Solovetsky Kremlin (2.5 hours) – the tour introduces visitors to the history of the Solovetsky Monastery. Tourists visit the territory of the central complex of the monastery, existing temples, monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, objects of economic activity of the monastery.

18:00 – Free time. At will – an independent walk along the picturesque shore of the White Sea, where you will see the “dancing” Solovetsky birches and “labyrinths” – a reconstructed cultural monument of prehistoric civilizations.

09:00 – Bus – walking tour “Sekirnaya Mountain. Holy Ascension Monastery ”(4 hours). Sightseers will visit one of the highest points of the Big Solovetsky Island – Mount Sekirnaya, from the top of which an unforgettable view of the northern part of the Big Solovetsky Island and the White Sea opens. They will get acquainted with the history and monuments of the current Holy Ascension Skete, where during the times of the Solovetsky camp there was a punishment cell – the place of detention and punishment of prisoners. They will see a unique lighthouse church. The monastery is valid, excursionists must comply with the requirements of the charter of the monastery and be properly dressed. Continuation of the excursion “Botanical Garden – Makaryevskaya Deserts”. Tourists will visit one of the northernmost botanical gardens in Russia, which is located on the territory of the former Makaryevskaya desert, see monuments, unique plantings of different periods of the history of the Solovetsky Islands, enjoy an amazing view of the ensemble of the Solovetsky Monastery, which opens from the Alexander Hill.

13:00 – Return to the hotel.

14:00 – Excursion “Sights of the Big Zayatsky island” (3 hours). Boat trip to the Big Zayatsky island. Tourists will visit the largest pagan sanctuary of the II-I millennium BC, see stone labyrinths, a complex of religious and funerary structures, the first stone harbor in Russia, and the monuments of St. Andrew’s Skete. Note: Travel time from the Bolshoi Solovetsky Island to the Bolshoi Zayatsky Island by sea is 45 minutes. The tour is conducted under favorable weather conditions and in the absence of a storm warning.

17:30 – Free time.

– Excursion “Boat trip to the island of Big Muksalma” (5 hours). Boat trip on the picturesque Gulf of Long Bay to the island of Big Muksalma. Visitors will see a grandiose hydraulic structure – a man-made boulder dam 1.5 km long, connecting the islands of Bolshoi Solovetsky and Bolshaya Muksalma, amazing landscapes, and also get acquainted with the history of the Sergievsky monastery of the Solovetsky monastery. Note: the distance from the tour desk to the pier in the Long Bay (5 km) and back visitors walk. Travel time from the pier in the Long Bay to the island of Bolshaya Muksalma is 40 minutes. During periods of deteriorating weather (very low/very high air temperatures, showers, storms, strong winds, floods, mudflows, fog, etc.), the tour operator reserves the right, in exceptional cases, to change the tour program: replace inspection/display objects with others , and if replacement is not possible, exclude objects from the program (with the subsequent return to the tour buyer of the cost of visiting the object), visiting which in weather conditions at the time of the tour may threaten the safety of tourists. The decision on the specified replacement/cancellation of objects is made by the guide and the management of the travel agency unilaterally.
